Rick (F. P. or Fredrick Paul) Wortley started in the jewelry industry in 1975 in Albany, Ga. It was in 1983 when he met his wife Kelly who was also in the jewelry industry and they married in 1984.
Rick’s success in the business did not go unnoticed as he rose through the ranks of corporate jewelry.
During this time the family was transferred many times around the country and finally ended up in Savannah in 2001.
Now with two children and finally back home in Georgia, they wanted to put down permanent roots in Savannah, a town they grew to love. It was also during this time that corporate jewelry became increasingly unfullfiling.
After much deliberation and prayer they were led to open what had been a dream of many years…. Their own family store.
In November of 2005, with family and friends in support, F. P. Wortley Jewelers was born, a store that will honor the community with outstanding service and value.
